アジア土木学協会連合協議会「第6回アジア土木技術国際会議」(平成25年8月)において発表した調査研究成果は次の2件です。
For the port and harbor construction works, various large work vessels including dredgers and floating cranes are employed. These work vessels are not the same as the ordinary land equipment’s such as power shovels and dozers, and not easy to purchase or hire due to its magnitude. Therefore, we need to mobilize these work vessels from somewhere she anchoring, when we need to use. The mobilization cost of the work vessels is one of the major cost elements to estimate the budget for the Public Work Projects, and the information of the location of work vessels is very important for the estimation. The purpose of “The Location Information Service of Work Vessels” is to obtain information of the vessels from the owners, and keep tracking locations and schedule of all work vessels available, and offer this information to the port authorities such as central and local governments for them to estimate their budgets. High demands are exist to upgrade these services. This paper explains the how re-building of the system was introduced for the improvement of services including its function. And problems which we encountered, in 2 years’ services, while we carried out the upgrade of the operative apparatus of “The Location Information Service of Work Vessels”.

Both the qualification on the experts having much experience in marine or airport civil engineering works and continuous education for them lead to the securing of safe works with high quality. The system for qualification of civil engineers capabilities for marine and airport construction works has been established and operated in Japan. The registered engineer has a role to conduct the marine or airport civil engineering works as the engineer in charge and to educate young engineers as a leaders.
