Working on MWS services of Kitakyushu Hibikinada Offshore Wind Farm Construction Project

Hibiki Wind Energy Co., Ltd. commenced construction of the Kitakyushu Hibikinada Offshore Wind Farm on March 13, 2023.
SCOPE has been contracted to perform Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) services for the Kitakyushu Hibikinada Offshore Wind Project and is currently undertaking the work. The project involves the construction of a large-scale offshore wind farm with a total capacity of 220 MW (25 units of 9.6 MW each) within the Hibikinada district of Kitakyushu Port, covering an area of approximately 2,700 hectares, marking the first use of 9.6 MW-class wind turbines in Japan. Commercial operation is scheduled to begin in fiscal year 2025, and SCOPE will continue to provide MWS services to ensure that offshore operations for this project are carried out safely and reliably.
